I just found your blog today. I had Miranda IUD inserted this past Friday, February 14. I started having pain in both knees and by Monday night I was ready to go to ER. The pain was so excruciating, it felt like my knees were burning and exploding at the same time. My joint pain was bareable and I probably would have dealt with it. I had IUD removed this morning at 10 and pain is better.
ReplyDelete-I am hypothyroid, I did find knee pain/mirena connection article last night
I thought I researched enough, asked the proper questions. I'm so upset. My husband and I have a large family, 7 children, intentionally. ;) We had decided that we were going to use a safe, reliable birth control after the birth of our daughter in November.
What if I had not made the connection? How would I have taken care of my family? Have I opened the door to autoimmune issues? What would you tell those of us who have had a reaction to mirena to watch for in the coming years? I asked my Dr today and he said he would send me to a rheumatoid arthritis Dr. If my pain continued.
You are a brave woman. If my few days of pain were anything like you go through on a daily basis I am in awe.
Keep your voice out there. I'm sharing your blog with every female I know. Thank you for sharing. May God bless and keep you. {Hugs}

my 14yr old has idiopathic avascular necrosis. more than 50% of her hip has died within a year and half. the 1st orthopedic doctor said she was surprised that it has not collapsed yet. in the begining of sept a 3rd opinion was recommended by the doctor in syracuse NY he checked with the chop hospital in PA. mid-october i was told that PA has nothing to offer. i am looking for someone that specializes in cases like her's that could offer her pain relief and better quality of her teenage years or at least a website/blog something that can assist me in finding someone that will help before her hip collapses. we live in upstate NY. i am willing to travel any distance if necessary.

HI,
DeleteThere is a clinic in MUMBAI, INDIA which specialises in treating avascular necrosis of hips. Hundreds of patients are cured non- surgically - just medicines - thats all
There are many published papers now a days - which shows that non- surgical management of AVN is now possible
